All About Lash Adhesives

Here is everything you need to know about our Adhesives

Thank you for choosing Aki Lashes Adhesive for your lash extension needs. This page contains essential information to help you get the most out of your product.

Directions for Use

  • Wipe the nozzle after each use.
  • Burp your glue to remove trapped air bubbles from the nozzle before replacing the lid. This helps ensure the glue will work properly and last longer.
  • It is recommended to change your adhesive glue dot every 20-30 minutes. A glue dot that needs to be changed will become thicker, stringy, sticky or leave beads of the adhesive on the lash extension.
  • Polymerize glue drops before disposing.
  • Our adhesive bottle doesn't need to be punctured when you first use it. We include red glue pins inside of the pouch for your to use incase the adhesive nozzle gets clogged.

    Storage Instructions

    • Keep the adhesive in a cool, dry place between 60-75°F (15-24°C).
    • Store the bottle upright to prevent clogging.
    • Avoid direct sunlight and heat sources.
    • Keep the nozzle clean and cap tightly closed when not in use. Exposing glue to oxygen will cause glue to dry faster than usual.
    • Unopened adhesive expires after 60 days. Once it is open do not put it back in the fridge, condensation can form inside of the bottle making the glue cure.
    • Replace open adhesive every 30 days. Reorder here!
    • Store your adhesive in a hygrometer adhesive storage container to control your adhesive storage environment. Effectively dehumidify with silica or rice and raise the humidity with a droplet of water.

    Tips and Tricks

    • Check out this video to see when you need to change out your adhesive dot (your adhesive will look like this, tacky and stringy adhesive)
    • Remember when the humidity is low, the glue dries slow.
    • When adhesive is over exposed to moisture it can start to rapidly cure, causing shock polymerization. Shock polymerization causes brittle bonds and poor retention. It makes the adhesive develop a white film and become sticky and stringy.
    • Use a adhesive nozzle remover to replace dirty and closed nozzles from dried glue.
    • Work in a well-ventilated area to minimize fume inhalation.
    • Date the bottom of the lash glue, so you will know when you need to restock a fresh glue.
    • Try this adhesive fanning trick with our blooming cup.
    • Don't make these mistakes when you drop your glue
      • Dropping your glue from a high distance causing the glue to splatter
      • Placing too much glue
      • Not putting enough glue, causing the drop to cure too soon
